Davis-Standard, LLC designs, manufactures and installs extrusion coating, liquid coating, cast film, blown film, blow molding, pelletizing and winding equipment. Davis-Standard will promote several converting technologies including its new extrusion coating line that allows converters to produce high quality flexible packaging, thermal lamination, stand-up pouches, lidding, tube and aseptic films to match customer’s market requirements and investment plans. This line combines the very best technologies of each brand within Davis-Standard’s Converting Systems Group; Black Clawson Converting Machinery, Egan and ER-WE-PA. Other technical advances from Davis-Standard include high-speed cast stretch film lines engineered in four-up, six-up and eight-up configurations, inline hand wrap winders with 25-second cycle times and winders capable of winding 500mm diameter rolls. Blown film technology for industrial films and bags, agricultural and construction films, barrier films, stretch films, PVC cling films, high barrier small tube systems, can liners and laminating films. Other film equipment includes machinery for hygienic, oxygen barrier, optical, medical and CPP films. Wide fabric coating and laminating machines are engineered for house wrap, tarpaulins, temporary shelters and geomembrane applications. Liquid coating technology; a range of coaters and coating heads are available with more than 50 coating configurations. Innovative accessories like the patented CAS (coating air separation) system, the Steamex re-humidification system and the patented pressurized gravure head (PGH). Liquid coating and laminating machines are available for window protection and optical films, release and adhesive tapes, and special laminated products. Davis-Standard has the experience and knowledge for difficult and demanding processes like fluoropolymers, biopolymers, and barrier resins addressing a range of end markets applications such as photovoltaics, aerospace, biodegradable packaging and surface protecting films. Davis-Standard’s latest control system technology; the DS5, Integrator C and Integrator Pro. The DS5 (Davis-Standard Secure Service Support System) enables service personnel to respond to customer needs, diagnose, and fix problems via a secure, high-speed Internet connection. Customers, regardless of location, can minimize lengthy downtimes by giving Davis-Standard service personnel and engineers immediate online access to their equipment. The Integrator C is a new single-point system to replace obsolete CMR systems. The Integrator C has the functionality of previous systems, but with additional features such as recipe management, historical data trending and alarms.
