Waukesha, WI – August 22, 2012 – Celebrating its 36^th year as a premier manufacturer of storing, lifting, guarding, and access products, Wildeck, Inc. (along with its Arizona subsidiary, Ladder Industries) will be showcasing a broad portfolio of solutions for packaging, printing, and converting operations in Booth 5911 (North Hall) at PACK EXPO, Oct. 28-31, at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Wildeck’s industry leading industrial steel work platforms (mezzanines) and its unique hybrid MezzCrane™ system provide footprint optimization and increased functional space within existing facilities – all at reduced cost when compared to new construction.  Efficient vertical movement of palletized materials or carts between levels is achieved with Wildeck VRCs (Vertical Reciprocation Conveyors).  Work areas, facility equipment and walkways can be protected with Wilgard^® Guardrail (tested to be the industry’s strongest protective rail system); while machinery and material storage areas can be safely accessed with rolling ladders, custom platforms and other Ladder Industries products.

According to Schlegel, Wildeck specifically selected PACK EXPO to emphasize its capabilities to custom design and manufacture specialized equipment / machine platforms for converting, printing and packaging machine manufacturers.

Wildeck steel equipment / machine platforms provide convenient and safe access for operators and service personnel on large converting, packaging or printing machines.  They are designed to meet customer requirements while complying with applicable codes and OSHA safety requirements.  They include safety railing for personnel and 4-inch high kick-plate all around to protect tools or materials from falling off the platform.  Wildeck stairways, vertical caged ladders and safety ladder access gates are also available to protect personnel at openings.

In addition to the steel equipment / machine platforms and other storing, lifting and guarding products from Wildeck, booth 5911 will feature equipment access products from its new Arizona subsidiary, Ladder Industries.  Wildeck and Ladder Industries products that serve numerous industry applications are outlined in Table 1.

Wildeck's industrial steel work platforms (mezzanines)lead the industry in quality, versatility and strength.  They are precision fabricated from structural steel components that are assembled using secure bolt-together connections.  Mezzanines optimize the available space within a facility and can be dismantled, relocated, and even expanded when production requirements change or businesses grow.   

Wildeck’s unique MezzCrane™ is a hybrid system that combines the strength and utility of a mezzanine work platform with the agility and flexibility of a 3-axis enclosed track traveling bridge crane, and Jib Crane option.  MezzCrane™ systems are available in five different configurations and are ideal for lean manufacturing and packaging operations.

Wildeck’s extensive family of mechanically and hydraulically operated VRCs (Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors), the popular V-Lift™, and industry-leading VRC safety systems, including the company’s patented AutoSenz^® VRC Overload Detection/Jam Sensor (U.S. Patent No. 7,408,317), will also be featured.  

The industry’s strongest protection against PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicle) impact will also be on display.  Wilgard^® protective guard rail systems are constructed of high-strength steel and have a durable bright safety yellow paint finish for high visibility.  They are designed to protect personnel and equipment from a severe 13,000 pound PIV impact (forklift, etc.) traveling at speeds up to 4 mph.  Considering the level of investment in equipment and personnel, more and more plant managers are protecting critical areas in their facility with the industry’s premier protective guarding products that are available from Wildeck today. 

Mobile access products from Wildeck’s subsidiary, Ladder Industries in Goodyear, Arizona, will also be featured in booth 5911.  This includes safety locking Rolastair™ Rolling Ladders, Machine Stands, Work Platforms, Conveyor Crossovers, Stairway systems, Stockpicker carts, tote dollies, JiffyRail™ railing and gates, and other high access products.
