The ATS Tray Handler represents the next generation in materials handling innovation. An ATS Superbot gantry-style robot is integrated into the tray handler. The Superbot's low profile, rectangular work envelope, high speed and scalability make it ideally suited for handling trayed parts. The Superbot is mounted above the ATS Tray Handler with pallets or workpieces running through the robot’s envelope. During operation, the robot can be programmed to pick up parts from, or deposit completed sub-assemblies to, the trays. Part trays are typically vacuum formed or molded for high-accuracy part positioning. The tray handler can hold approximately 24" of stacked trays, depending on conveyor height and configuration. Carts, included with the Tray Handler, feature urethane wheels and retractable handles. They can be inserted or removed from the handler during machine operations. Optional conveyorized version available.
