Tetra Pak expands global aseptic packaging facilities

October 16, 2008 - At Tetra Pak International SA, Pully/Lausanne, Switzerland, investments in Italy, India underline global commitment to customers. Capital investments by leader in aseptic packaging materials/equipment continue during next two years with €15.0 million (US$20.3 million) for research/development, equipment assembly, test facilities in Modena, Italy. Expansion includes office space for 80 employees, 50 new jobs. Firm also plans to spend more than €88.0 million (US$119.0 million) to build packaging material manufacturing plant near current facility in Pune, India, to meet burgeoning demand for dairy, beverage products in India, other emerging markets in region.
