New EasyPrint X is the first and only thermal transfer printer designed for Harsh Environments and Case-Ready packages

Pine Brook, NJ - Bell-Mark introduces the very 1st in-line thermal transfer printer which offers an IP65 rating for Harsh Environments and Case-Ready packages . This latest edition to the EasyPrint line, the EasyPrint X has been developed in cooperation with Sealed Air/Cryovac specifically for applications that require protection from harsh / wet / cold / dusty / dirty / extreme environments.

Combining the speed and power of their original 32bit EasyPrints, along with the addition of an IP 65 rating, the new EasyPrint X offers a viable thermal transfer solution to markets such as: Meat Processing / Packing, Poultry, Dairy, and Prepared Foods.

The EasyPrint X offers high-speed printing of up to 1200mm/sec, and is available in both 2" and 5" widths. Variable data is printed directly onto substrates such as poly, film, foil and Tyvek.

The EasyPrint X can be mounted on all packaging machines such as Cryovac, Multivac, Tiromat, Dixie, and Mahaffy & Harder.

Savoie's Sausage & Foods , An Opelousas, LA processor/packer of meats, sausages and prepared entrees, wanted to extend its popular local brand to a larger market base. For Savoie's, this meant a move beyond what it defines as "simple pouch packaging" to fully automatic vacuum, packing of products on a variety of shapes and sizes.

Heinz cuts material inventory with high-quality online printing

Pine Brook, NJ - When Heinz launched its new foodservice sauces, the company worked around its limited warehouse space  by sourcing just one film for six different sauces and then printing online. The main reason to imprint online, says Jon McCarney, assistant packaging technologist at Heinz North America, was to minimize material inventory. Changeover flexibility and good-looking packaging were added benefits.

The plant where the new Heinz Global Sauce Market Sauces are packaged has limited warehouse space. With six sauces in the new line-and no room to store preprinted packaging-the decision to buy one film and print variable product information online was an easy one.
