Thiele Technologies will demonstrate the latest in packaging automation technology at the Pack Expo 2002 show to be held November 3-7, 2002, in Chicago (booths 400 and 406) with its UltraStar 7130XJX Bagger, Series 3000 Palletizer, 4460 Case Erector, FlexiPro Case Packer, Servo 60 Cartoner, Friction Feeder, and Placers.

Thiele’s UltaStar is a high-speed bagging system for packaging 20-110 lbs. (10-50 kg) of product in multi-wall paper and poly bags at speeds up to 30 bags per minute. Automatic discharge of unsatisfactory bags, whether unopened or improperly sized, and quick, tool-free changeover are among the many advanced features of the UltraStar. The display machine will feature Thiele’s new integral sealer, which decreases overall maintenance while increasing output quality. The integral sealer utilizes a unified drive system which synchronizes bagger exit, sealer, and sealer conveyor speeds, while eliminating the need for a separate sealing conveyor. The integral sealer also offers positive belt alignment for smooth, consistent bag transfer.

The 3000 Palletizer features Thiele’s characteristic rugged, heavy-duty design and the latest innovations in servo technology. With a color touchscreen and built-in diagnostics, the Master Servo 3000 is designed to improve operating efficiency.

The 4460 Case Erector offers superior handling for various styles and configurations of corrugated cases. Advanced ergonomic features including a color touchscreen, low height case magazine, and walk-in maintenance design, improve operator effectiveness.

The FlexiPro is a fully automatic case packaging system designed to side or end-load a variety of products into corrugated cases. In conjunction with a Thiele loader and infeed system, the FlexiPro Case Packer automatically takes a knockdown corrugated blank and feeds it into the machine. It is then erected, positioned for loading, closed, and sealed for palletizing.

The Servo60 Cartoner features Thiele’s patented Load/No Load capability, which reduces product waste and jams by only loading properly erected cartons The Servo60 is capable of speeds up to 300 cartons per minute, and utilizes rotary set-up to reduce wear parts and eliminate timing adjustments. Thiele’s new Servo60 vertical cartoner provides state-of-the-art cartoning for a wide range of cartoning applications, offering one of the widest size ranges in its class.

Thiele’s Placer/Feeder modules will showcase various technologies including Thiele’s Reciprocating Placer, Rotary Placer, and Friction Feeder. The Reciprocating Placer, the most adaptable machine in the Placer product line, can run applications ranging from 1" x 1" coupons to 24" x 30" plastic trays. The Rotary Placer’s design virtually eliminates velocity at the point of pick-up and placement, resulting in greater accuracy and control of packaging components. The Friction Feeder provides greater precision, reliability, and versatility than mechanical controls.
