Technik Packaging Machinery Grows Medical Cartoning Options

Unique Systems Offer Verification, Qualifications In A Small Package

Covington, GA, April 2007 – Technik Packaging Machinery announces new features and options for its Carton King® cartoner series. Carton King® cartoners, designed and built for Technik Packaging Machinery by the German manufacturer Jakob + Wienmeier Industrial Technology, provide reliable, verifiable cartoning for blisters, bottles, vials, and other medical devices, and can be incorporated into any plant layout with footprints as small as 40” by 38”.

New for 2007, Carton King® cartoners can be equipped with Cognex™ and other 1D and 2D bar code reading systems. On-carton printing and label application can be combined with bar code verification for a complete medical qualification solution. Optional RFID tag insertion and verification can provide an even more advanced verification solution. Off-the-shelf PLC controls integrate via Ethernet with existing plant networks for complete data control. Blister stacking/destacking, leaflet insertion, and many other automated infeed systems can be integrated for a completely automated packaging solution.
