PMMI NAMES CHINA OFFICE DIRECTOR; SILVERIO TO CHAIR FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION ROUNDTABLE

Arlington, Va.; August 4, 2008 — PMMI is pleased to announce Jason Bian will serve as Director of the PMMI China office.

Bian has been a package engineer in the paperboard and printing area and has more than 16 years experience in food industry product sales. His industry experience includes positions with the Shanghai offices of companies such as MeadWestvaco and Sig Combibloc Ltd.

“We’re delighted Jason has come on board. His experience in the packaging industry will allow him to serve PMMI members well,” said Charles D. Yuska, PMMI president & CEO.

PMMI opened its Shanghai, China, office in 2000; its primary focus has been to link PMMI members with potential customers throughout the manufacturing centers of China. Bian will be responsible for keeping the China office aligned with PMMI’s Long Range Plan, and will support PMMI’s goal to strengthen members’ abilities to be profitable in a global marketplace.

“We look forward to working with Jason to create new and different ways for members to leverage the power of the Chinese market and deliver value to all PMMI member companies,” Yuska said.

Silverio Elected FAR Chairman

In other news, PMMI is pleased to note Vice President, Finance, Craig Silverio, IOM, CAE, has been elected chairman of the Finance and Administration Roundtable (FAR), a not-for-profit organization that promotes education and networking for financial and administrative professionals in the Greater Washington, DC, area.

Silverio has served on the PMMI staff since 1991. Before coming to PMMI, he served in controller positions with home builder NVR and minor league baseball teams in the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals organizations.

“Craig has played a strong role in managing PMMI’s financial health and infrastructure through its tremendous growth of the past 17 years. We’re proud that his efforts here have led to this recognition by his peers,” said Yuska.

Silverio, currently the FAR vice chairman, will serve for a year, effective Sept. 1, 2008. His colleagues in FAR are CFOs, COOs, human resource and administrative executives from about 200 not-for-profit groups, and more than 60 companies serving the not-for-profit community.
