PPi Technologies, Inc. to introduce a patent pending fill-seal machine including straw applicator, for handling premade StandUp pouches used in the beverage industry

PPi Technologies, Inc. of Sarasota, Florida will introduce at the PackExpo 2002 Show in Chicago, a new fill and seal machine made under the PSG ABT brand name. The new machine has been designed to replace more costly and less tolerant in-line form-fill-seal machines supplied to the juice industry by competing manufacturers. The PSG ABT fill-seal machine uses a new horizontal multiple [four or six or eight] lane transverse design to feed, load the straw inside the unique pouch shape, fill and seal the StandUp pouch at up to 240 pouches per minute. Some key benefits are: n\tNo lost straw when you need it most n\tEasy tear feature for "friendly" access to the product n\tMachinery design is small and efficient and costs 30% less than traditional models and requires one operator n\tThe prefabricated StandUp pouch shape with straw-inside process is patent pending R.
