Sarasota, Florida August 20, 2001

PPi Technologies, Inc. introduces the patented Fine Cuisine® microwave cooking system. PPi Technologies, Inc. has just completed the NAFTA patent process for Fine Cuisine® and is now looking for companies interested in obtaining exclusive licenses, for the food product segment they are dominant in.

A quick overview of the Fine Cuisine® product line and licenses are:

·\tPatent Pending steam stable, one way - one use, valves from WIPF

·\tPatent Pending steam stable peelable lid stock films from WIPF

·\tFood thermoformed polypropylene trays with or without partitions from PPi Technologies, Inc.

·\tFour color labels with printed heat indicator for your product, from DMG [a PPi Technologies, Inc. company]

·\tFilm sealing machines [valve to lid stock and or lid stock with valve to tray] from slow to high speed, from PPi Technologies, Inc.

·\tPatented recipes and process help for all your fresh/refrigerated product lines [Italian month or fish month etc.]

·\tTotal Fine Cuisine® system supplied to food manufacturers and supported by PPi Technologies, Inc. Sarasota, Florida

Some brief technical features of Fine Cuisine® are:

·\tFine Cuisine® is a three or four component package that makes it possible to combine fresh vegetables and fresh protein [meat, fish or chicken] in one cooking container. [No preservatives]!

·\tShelf life is six [6] days in the refrigerator [MAP also available]

·\tCooking time is up to six [6] minutes [depends on microwave power level]

·\tThe patented WIPF steam valve has two unique functions viz. first as internal gas builds up in the fresh refrigerated respiratory stage, the valve allows these gases to be released at a carefully controlled rate. Without this the six-day shelf life would not be possible, as the package would burst. The second critical function performed by the valve, is what it does in the microwave oven.

·\tThe Fine Cuisine® concept is that as food products in the package are heated in a microwave, the moisture content in the products generate steam, this steam cooks the food. As the steam exits the food tissue, it does so under pressure, which means the food is cooked from the inside out by both heat and pressure. The steam builds up, and the food is then cooked by both heat and pressure, from the outside in. This is referred to as “double pressure-cooking” and is patent pending. If this one-way valve did not release the internal pressure at a controlled rate, the package would burst and controlled heating of any kind would be out of the question.

·\tWith Fine Cuisine® there is no need to peel back corners, prick holes in the lid top, stir or disturb the package prior to cooking or after cooking. Just load into the microwave, cook, remove, peel the film and eat.

·\tAn additional saving is in the food chain, frozen foods consume about 15% more product than the Fine Cuisine® recipes and this saving alone ensures a quick return on investment

The Fine Cuisine® opportunities are endless in today's busy world and offer a complete marketing plan for a 'Restaurant-on-the-Go' product line.

R. Charles Murray, CEO - President of PPi Technologies, Inc. commented, “we are very excited in the potential of supplying something new and cost effective to the food industry. In today's busy world, the opportunity to buy a fast healthy meal that can be cooked in the microwave in less than six minutes, is unique, especially as there are over 350 recipes available and thus all tastes can be satisfied. Fine Cuisine®, developed in Europe, has turned the microwave meal market upside down and created a new market segment, “fresh-refrigerated” in the process. The fast food industry is a natural target for this package, as are “store-in-store” microwave deli's.”

PPi Technologies, Inc. is a unique technology company, which has established strategic marketing alliances with several multinational packaging machine and converting companies from Canada, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, Korea and South Africa. Each of these alliances complements the other, allowing customers seeking alternative cost effective 'product differentiation' packaging, to look to PPi Technologies, Inc. for innovative packs and StandUp pouch machine solutions.
