Local tech companies make list

Four southwest Florida companies were on a list of fast-growing technology companies released on Friday by professional services business Deloitte & Touche.

The companies, 3 from Sarasota County and 1 from south Manatee county are Indigo Investment Systems Inc., LexJet Corp., PPi Technologies and Speedcom Wireless Corp.

The list, called the Florida High Tech Corridor Technology Fast 50, is a combination of the Fast 50 list produced by the Tampa Bay Partnership economic development organization and a similar list in central Florida.

The final rankings will be announced on September 20. Companies were measured for their revenue growth from 1998 to 2000.
