Navin, President of Spee-Dee® Packaging Machinery, Inc., recently announced the availability of the company’s latest contribution to customer productivity, the Positive Cut Off Device (PCOD). “This Spee-Dee efficiency solution is so unique, we patented it,” Navin stated. “It will specifically impact productivity and profitability for our customers utilizing Vertical Form/Fill/Seal (VFFS) equipment.”

In the traditional flapper design, the door pivot points are the first to fail. With the new design, the PCOD half moon shaped doors slice through the product more in a horizontal pattern versus the conventional vertical motion. This relieves the stress and fatigue that ultimately results in downtime, maintenance and eventually failure of the flapper doors to function properly.”
