The newly designed In-Line Windowing Applicator applies windows to folding cartons with extraordinary speed and precision. The modular unit can be directly integrated with existing folder/gluers, thus eliminating handling labor. It has single lane in-line speeds of 36,000 to 50,000 per hour depending on carton size and pitch.

"This machine was developed because current windowing systems are generally slow and labor intensive. Window applicators and folder gluers are separate production processes involving needless product handling and excess work-in-process. Our new windowing applicator eliminates all of that," says Allan Sutherland, President.

The In-Line Window Applicator offers numerous benefits not currently available with traditional off-line windowing systems. Quality is improved by reduced handling and the use of fast setting glue eliminates window stickers. Also, the system applies the adhesive to the window, not the folded carton, thereby effectively reducing adhesive application speed and eliminating problems associated with dust build-up, misfeeding of cartons and other commonly occurring problems with traditional window systems.

• Adhesive application is designed for instantly curable adhesives.
• Adhesive is applied to film at film speed rather that to the carton at carton speed using anilox roll/print technology.

• Make-readies are simplified with recipe selection from operator interface terminal.
• Integrated web aligner, Coast Controls All Air Guiding System is standard.
