DULUTH, Georgia – May 9, 2002 – Saturn right-angle nozzles from Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq –NDSN) provide improved performance in low-profile packaging applications. The redesigned nozzles are available in single- and dual-orifice, 15 degree or 30 degree styles. Low-profile applications include those where space between the dispensing gun and the package is limited, and adhesive cannot be dispensed at a 90 degree angle to the package. The new nozzles feature an all-brass assembly that improves heat transfer to the nozzle tip for more consistent adhesive temperature at the point of application. A clamping nut holds the nozzle securely in position, even in demanding applications where nozzles may be bumped by errant packages or flaps. Over-tightening of the clamping nut will not harm the nozzle assembly. The new nozzles have no internal o-ring and can easily withstand aggressive cleaning methods and solvents. Patented Saturn nozzles use color-coded rings for fast, accurate identification of nozzle orifice engagement and angle of the nozzle tip, allowing users to select the correct replacement nozzle every time.
