DULUTH, Georgia - January 4, 2007– The new FillEasy II Adhesive Feed System from Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq – NDSN), the world’s leading producer of precision dispensing equipment, automatically maintains desired adhesive levels in Nordson melters. The FillEasy II system is ideal for production environments requiring a simple, dependable and economical filling system.

The updated system utilizes a cone with integrated capacitance sensor mounted to the adhesive melter tank lid for highly accurate tank readings. The sensor detects low adhesive levels and transmits a signal to a suction lance. Using vacuum, the system then conveys adhesive in the shape of pellets, pastilles and mini-slats from the supplied adhesive storage container to the melter tank. Adding small quantities of adhesive at regular intervals prevents the sealed tank from running dry and reduces adhesive char, contaminants and incorrect adhesive temperatures that result in poor bonding.

The FillEasy II system’s simple design minimizes installation and maintenance requirements while automatic sensor calibration allows operators to complete set-up quickly and easily.

By eliminating manual adhesive refill, the FillEasy II system frees operators to perform other, more productive tasks, creates a safer workplace by reducing operator exposure to hot surfaces and minimizes the need for repetitive lifting to fill adhesive tanks. The system retrofits to Nordson Series 2300, 3100, 3400, 3500 and 3700 melters, ProBlue® 4, 7, 10, 15, 30 and 50-liter melters, DuraBlue® 10, 16, 25, 50 and 100-liter melters and VersaBlue® 25, 50 and 100-liter melters.
