Nordson LA 4400 Pattern Control System Simplifies Operation and Maximizes Flexibility

DULUTH, Georgia – August 27, 2001 – The new LA 4400 pattern control system from Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq—NDSN) delivers application flexibility with simple set-up and operation. The system features an easy-to-program, color touch screen to simplify operator interaction. With a choice of bead type and up to 16-channel capability, the system is suited for high-end packaging or folding carton, envelope, and bag and sack manufacturing.

The LA 4400 control provides a selection of bead choice and four trigger inputs to meet a broad range of application requirements. The pattern control accommodates up to four engine boards allowing control of 4, 8, 12 or 16 channels. The LA 4400 unit has integrated gun driver boards to run eight low-voltage or four high-current electric guns; an expansion cabinet doubles the gun capacity.

The quick connect cabling, integrated gun driver boards and tip sealing activators ease installation of the LA 4400 control system. Programming and operation are simplified with the easy-to-program touch screen, multi-language display and 50-program memory.

The LA 4400 features independent gun run-up allowing gun pressure management over multiple lines. The run-up control minimizes adhesive waste during start-up and shutdown.
