NEW SATURN(R); SOLENOID VALVES OPTIMIZE DISPENSING GUN PERFORMANCE AND FEATURE COLORED-CODED RINGS, SIMPLIFYING SOLENOID REPLACEMENT AND TROUBLESHOOTING

Sunday, November 07, 2004

New Saturn solenoid valves from Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq ¨C NDSN), the world¡¯s leading producer of precision dispensing equipment, feature color-coded rings to simplify solenoid replacement and troubleshooting. Users can now easily identify voltage and air flow to select the correct replacement solenoid every time. Saturn solenoids will be featured at PackExpo 2004 in Chicago, IL, Nordson booth # S 1547. \t Designed to optimize the performance of Nordson pneumatic air-open/air-closed (AO/AC) and air-open/spring-closed (AO/SC) adhesive dispensing guns, Saturn solenoid valves feature specific high-temperature seals and lubricants. These balanced, 3- and 4-way piloted valves deliver maximum shifting force in both directions by alternately supplying air to each end of the spool. Equal shifting forces at energization and de-energization result in resistance-free shifting, increased reliability and faster, more consistent response times even under the most demanding of conditions. Durable, high-temperature seals and components withstand temperatures in excess of 200¡ð F (93¡ð C), increasing valve life and reducing maintenance. Air flow supports single and multi-module gun applications and valves offer 1.0 Cv and 1.5 Cv (compared to 0.18 Cv for similar valves) providing superior adhesive delivery.
