SolidBlue hot melt dispensing guns and modules from Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq – NDSN) deliver greater reliability with twice the industry-leading service life. The new, more user-friendly, practical design enables faster installation, as well as easier and quicker maintenance, reducing costs and unscheduled downtime. SolidBlue modules feature new EasyOn™ technology, with guided, one-way fit (mated module and gun body surfaces) and a simplified design for safer and easier installation, even for gun bodies located deep within machines. The EasyOn design also offers backward compatibility. SolidBlue modules fit all existing Nordson gun bodies making it easier for customers to keep one style of Nordson module in stock. All gun modules are fully rebuildable. Plastic module covers offer protection during incidental contact. The unique top and bottom color-coding scheme enables easy identification of air-open/air-closed (blue) and air-open/spring-closed (black) actuation. The gray-colored bottom cover indicates ball and seat design. Gun modules feature long-life Myritex™ seals, extending module life and improving product reliability and performance. An inspection port allows visual monitoring of module performance. The easy-to-maintain gun body extrusion makes key components readily accessible for easier and faster maintenance. A side cover keeps out dust and dirt, reducing module replacement costs and downtime. A new larger diameter heater provides improved watt density distribution, resulting in more even heating and a longer service life. All single, multi-module and special guns are built from a common platform for greater application flexibility and system compatibility.
