Langen Packaging Inc. introduces its new state-of-the-art Chinook Cartoner. Incorporating a number of revolutionary design concepts, the stainless steel Chinook Cartoner increases productivity with faster changeovers and enhances product quality with superior wipe-down hygienic features.

Sporting a futuristic look, the functionality of the Chinook is unparalleled. Curved and inclined surfaces, a fully covered product path and rounded machine parts together eliminate internal dust accumulation and resulting product contamination. With stainless steel construction and the strict separation of technical and operational parts using closed cabinets for the drives, adjustments and electronics, Langen's Chinook is ideal for processors, manufacturers and packagers looking to improve sanitation with a cost-effective hygienic wipe-down cartoner.

The user-friendly Chinook Cartoner increases line productivity by reducing downtime with a no-tools-required changeover routine. Handwheels equipped with digital readouts for carton and product size adjustments in length, depth and height ensure quick and accurate changeover that minimizes operator training requirements and maximizes equipment performance. Chinook's unique carton magazine is fitted with sized templates to further speed changeovers.

Langen designed the easy-to-operate Chinook Cartoner to reduce maintenance and improve worker ergonomics. With 40 percent fewer parts, the simplicity of the equipment reduces routine maintenance and results in less planned as well as unplanned downtime. Fully integrated machine guarding and large cabinet doors provide easy access to the product path and machine parts. Access doors and height-adjustable carton loading are positioned at a comfortable height for the machine operator and the movable touch screen display provides for ease of operation.

The continuous-motion Chinook Cartoner features servo motor operation that improves product control and machine performance. Operating at maximum speeds of 250 or 450 cartons per minute, depending on the chosen model and carton size, Chinook handles carton sizes as small as 2"L x ¾"H x 2 ¾'D (50mm L x 20mm H x 70mm D) to as large as 10"L x 5"H x 13 ¾"D (250mm L x 130mm H x 350mmD). Langen builds Chinook to industry standards.

Chinook can be integrated with one of many infeed and autoload systems available from Langen, the specialists in product handling solutions, to handle a wide range of products and load cartons with single products or as multipacks.
