Zip-Pak announces the first commercially available transverse direction (TD) slider applicating system. The ZIP-PAK® SLIDER™ can now be applied using the new Advantage Model B32TSZ slider zipper system from Triangle Packaging. A major step forward for flexible packaging technology, Triangle’s new machine is the first vertical-form-fill-seal system to apply resealable slider zippers across the top, “short” side of the package in a transverse, or cross-web, direction.

This advancement allows this convenient resealable feature to be applied to flexible packaging for use with products such as snacks, cheese, produce, cereal and candy. ZIP-PAK® SLIDER™ zippers can now be incorporated into highly efficient automated lines without affecting output or line speeds.
