Harpak Acquires Hooper Engineering

Easton, MA (August 31, 2000) - Harpak, Incorporated today announced that it has acquired Hooper Engineering, a privately held form/fill/seal machinery manufacturer headquartered in Sarasota, Florida employing 25 people. Hooper has one manufacturing plant in Sarasota, and exports to more than 50 additional countries world-wide. Harpak will acquire all the outstanding stock of Hooper Engineering at an undisclosed price.

Founded in 1994, Harpak is a leading distributor of tray-sealing and meal assembly equipment in North America. Headquartered in Easton, MA, Harpak is a privately held business with about 40 employees.
