CLINTON, CT - ICONOTECH, the originator and leading manufacturer of digital case printing equipment, is introducing their revolutionary NEW in-line bar code printer for corrugated shipping containers, ICON-224.

The economical ICON-224 prints both bar codes and human readable text directly on filled cases at speeds up to 200 feet per minute. Designed specifically for bar coding applications, ICON-224 has a print area of 2”H x 24”L and provides label quality printing without the label.

The ICON-224 is versatile and easy-to-use. It can be mounted on either side of a conveyor and can apply bar codes anywhere on filled and sealed cases as they head out to the palletizer. It can also be used in conjunction with ink jet equipment where the ink jet applies human readable text while the ICON-224 printer applies the bar code.

ICON- 224 is a cost effective solution designed to replace print and apply labeling machines, ink jet and pre-printed cases. While labeling systems can produce in spec bar codes, they require expensive labels. Ink jet does not have in-spec bar code printing capabilities. Pre-printed boxes require printing plates, set up charges for short runs as well as warehousing and repeated handling.
