EC-3200 is Ideal for Low Volume, Short Run Operations

CLINTON, CT (September, 2001) - ICONOTECH, the originator and leading manufacturer of digital case printing equipment, introduces their new entry level digital case printer. The EC-3200 case printer is ideal for low volume, short-run operations.

Using the same proven digital printing technology as Iconotech's acclaimed digital case printer, the DCP-3200, the EC model has been redesigned to meet the growing demands for a digital case printer that is economical and virtually maintenance free. The EC prints full graphics, in-spec bar codes and human readable text within a 11'W x 32'L print field. This truly multi-purpose machine will satisfy the need for printing on knock down RSC's, trays, die cut blanks, or multi-wall kraft bags up to 40'W x 42'L.

The EC-3200 is equipped with an attached feed table that facilitates a manual feeding operation. An operator picks up a bundle of knocked down cases or kraft bags from a pallet, places it on the feed table and hand feeds one at a time to the print cylinder. The machine is capable of a 30 case per minute throughput.

Iconotech's digital case printers offer a cost effective solution designed to replace print and apply labeling machines, ink jet printers and pre-printed cases. The system prints cases on an as-needed basis. Eliminating inventories of pre-printed cases and obsolete cases gives significant savings, particularly for operations with few case sizes and many part numbers.

As with all Iconotech printers, the EC-3200 includes formatting software for laying out print messages, including text, graphics and bar codes, and a thermal imager for producing disposable print film. Message creation to printed case takes minutes with the same print quality you would expect from a box converter but without the expense of printing plates.
