(BOOTH N-3813) Garvey will present the Infinity Series 3-D (U.S. and International patents pending), a major breakthrough in the handling of products not previously suitable for accumulation. Flow-wrapped packages, bags, trays and cartons are now able to take advantage of the gains in throughput that are achievable when a line is designed with proper buffering. An array of wrappers and baggers can deliver their output to a single Infinity 3-D, and the system will automatically discharge the packages – oriented – to one or more downstream machines. The system also provides accumulation between the upstream and downstream machines, dramatically increasing the overall throughput of the line. No complex mechanisms or controls are required. Packages are oriented and discharged via the natural flow dynamics of the Infinity Series 3-D.
