EAM Announces Source Tagging Speed Breakthrough

EAM’s popular MINI-ST Source Tag Applicator is now available in a higher speed version capable of 550 parts per minute (33,000 per hour). Known as the Mini-St Delta, it also doubles as a high speed labeler.

Scarborough, ME – July, 2007EAM, Inc. today announced its new, patented MINI-ST Delta model capable of applying EAS (Electronic Article Surveillance) tags at speeds up to 550 per minute.

At a maximum speed of 400 tags per minute, the original MINI-ST family of applicators have gained wide acceptance in a variety of industries.  The MINI-ST has proven itself reliable and easily integrated into existing automation.  EAM has developed the MINI-ST Delta using a similar tag handling design.  Because of this, choosing the higher speed model is seen as a very low risk decision.  Like its predecessor, the MINI-ST Delta is still relatively small.

Flexibility – The MINI-ST Delta can apply both the Sensormatic DR tags (AM), Checkpoint tags (RF), and also perform as a high speed industrial labeler.

Source Tagging - Source Tagging is the application of EAS (Electronic Article Surveillance) labels onto products or packaging during the manufacturing or packaging process.  Many retail products have these EAS labels or tags, which are anti-theft devices that trigger alarms at or near store exits when the tags have not been deactivated at the checkout.

More EAM Source Tagging InnovationsOngoing experience with source tagging allows EAM to introduce developments at a rapid pace.  EAM now offers Multi-Head systems that can more than double the rate and offer continuous operation.  The new device can eliminate the need and justification for automatic reel splicing.
