FOCKE MACHINERY - CASE PACKING

Model 491 Top Loading Pick And Place

For special handling requiring a pick and place, the Model 491 offers all the durability and precision you’d expect from Focke.

Principles of Operation
The products arrive at the machine traveling in the orientation as shown. The products can be reoriented if required. The products enter the infeed of the case packer. The belt metering infeed advances the products forward to the layer grouping position. The grouping pusher pushes the products to the pick-up area. The pusher repeats operation until the desired grouping has been achieved. In the meantime, a case blank is selected from the magazine and erected. The case is transported to the loading position. Once a complete layer is formed and positioned properly at the pick-up area, the pick and place lifts the layer and inserts it into the erected case through a mouthpiece funnel. This operation continues until the desired layers are loaded. The case is then transported out of the loading position into the closing and sealing area.

Features
• Positive case erecting.
• Option of different pick and place systems.
• Fast, no-tool, changeover.
• Hotmelt or tape enclosure with automatic tape splice.
• Fully integrated automatic tape splicing.
• Cases are positively transported through erecting, folding, loading, closing and sealing by mechanically driven, reciprocating pushers.
• Positive counting and grouping is controlled by variable speed conveyor belts and servo-controlled pusher and holder plates.

Size Range
Min: 7.875" x 5.875" x 5.125" (200 x 150 x 130 mm).
Max: 23.625" x 19.625" x 23.625" (600 x 500 x 600 mm).

Speed
• Up to 20 cases/minute.

Applications
• Food.
• Pharmaceuticals.
• Soaps and cosmetics.
• Candy and confections.
• Paper products.

FOCKE MACHINERY - OPTIONS

Model 329 Lane Combiner

The Focke Model 329 combines products from several upstream lanes. The machine changes directions of product flow and feeds the products with wide side leading to the next equipment.

Model 810 Product Reservoir

Built on the “first-in, last out” operating principle, the Model 810 is a sturdy, reliable product reservoir. Storage capacity depends on the setup of the unit’s flight pitch, usually laid out to suit the tallest product. Applications include cartons, rolls of biscuits and bags.

Model 513 Case Elevator / Lowerator

Using the absolute minimum of floor space, the Model 513 offers a very sturdy continuous motion vertical case elevator. Models are available in different discharge heights, either linked to and controlled by our case pakers/bundlers or as stand-alone units with small PLC. This machine is capable of handling up to 30 shipping units (cases or bundles)/minute. The cases are fed onto horizontal, interlinked segment platforms, which are fixed to reinforced timing belts. At required height levels, the case is discharged onto the downstream transport system by the horizontal movement of the interlinked platform over return sprockets. This also positions the platform vertically for its return journey.

Automatic Case Blank Feed Systems

Provides automatic positioning, alignment and feeding of up to 48" high stack of case blanks.
