About The Inventor

PARTNER PAK INC. and Simpl-Seal® grew out of Paul Appelbaum's drive to find a low-cost, highly productive method to seal clamshell and double blister packaging.

An inventor by trade, Mr. Appelbaum holds dozen's of patents and created the LOK-BOX® line of security products.

While researching clamshell packaging and methods to "glue" packages closed for his security line, Mr. Appelbaum discovered the benefits of light sensitive adhesives.

Merging what he knew about clamshells with what he had learned about light sensitive adhesives, he designed the first packaging machine (later named Simpl-Seal® ) to UV bond seal clamshells and double blisters.

For his effort Paul received U.S. Patent No. 5259169 on November 9, 1993, which launched his new career in the packaging industry.
