Founded in 1988, the driving force behind Matrix Packaging Machinery has been to deliver rugged, well engineered, cost competitive, easy-to-use packaging systems backed by outstanding customer support!

In 1990, the company targeted its first vertical form-fill-seal machine, the Compac 337, to the entry-level and small-scale markets. This successful machine penetrated certain market segments whose customers otherwise would not have been able to justify the cost of a typical v/f/f/s machine. Shortly after the introduction of the Compac 337, Matrix engineers developed the high-speed version of this machine. This very compact unit capable of high-speed packaging was quite successful with both small and large scale packagers.

Matrix engineers continued to focus their efforts on making a machine more rugged, versatile and easier to integrate with a wide range of feeding systems and peripheral equipment. These efforts resulted in the design and launch of the Matrix 1000 Series of v/f/f/s machines that were released in 1994.

The Matrix 1000 Series proved to be a major success. Matrix has achieved double-digit growth every year since the launch of this well designed, rugged machine. The Matrix 1000 Series became the backbone of many systems, installed by some of the most experienced and talented technicians in the industry. The Matrix 1000 Series proved to be very friendly when integrating with a wide range of equipment including scales, augers, and combination-weighers around the world.

In 1995, Matrix obtained formal WDA 3A dairy approval for its 1000-D Series v/f/f/s machines, allowing it to enter the dairy industry as well as markets requiring highly sanitary equipment.

The Matrix 1000 Series is the precursor to our successful line of current v/f/f/s, including our 2000 Series and G-Series. Today Matrix Packaging Machinery is the industry-leading manufacturer of v/f/f/s packaging equipment. Matrix has machines in operation throughout the world, handling a wide range of products in very diverse conditions.
